Veya are currently artists in residence in the Borough of Vale Royal. After years of working on the Live Music Now! Scheme, Veya were asked to work with specials needs children and adults in the borough over the course of two years. Each term the schools unite for a concert in Winsford Civic Hall in front of an audience of around 400 children from local schools as well as the Mayor and Mayoress. This gives them a chance to perform the music they have been working on for the past ten weeks and for them to join together with the other schools and day centres in one large combined work. Veya have been invited to perform at London's prestigious new concert venue, King's Place. The new creative centre will be unveiled to the public on 1st October 2008 and the VSQ will be performing on Tuesday 28th October as part of a multi-ensemble concert, where they will be performing works by Graham Fitkin and Joe Cutler. Also playing in the concert will be the Elysian Quartet and Tim Parkinson.
